These shoes are light, and have some cushion without being too soft. It is firm enough with a little springy bounce. I wish the lacing system and loops were better. It's a real pain in the butt to tighten/loosen them, and very hard to adjust. Some people complain about the extra roomy feeling, but for my feet it's just right. I'm more of a neutral-plus type shoe wearer, so over all this is a nice shoe. If only it weren't for that difficult lacing system, I'd give it 5 stars. IMO, not worth full price, but on sale a good shoe.

There really is nothing more to say. I love these shoes, keep buying sale pairs as backups because I mistreat them by doing things like running on concrete surfaces and by spilling alcoholic beverages on them.

Very nice looking shoe that seemed to fit great. Should have listened to all the reviews I read which said there is a seam at the bottom of the lace section which is noticeably aggravating. I found it very noticeable when walking and so I can imagine what it must be like running. Very unfortunate flaw in the design from a very reputable shoe! After returning these shoes, I offer a piece of advice ... make sure you thoroughly read the return policy, because full refund is obviously debatable!

The running shoes from Pearl Izumi always seem to run a half size small. If you normally wear an 11.5 order a 12. They're light weight & wear well and I have one pair that's over five years old. I wear Pearl Izumi shoes everyday at work on a concrete floor and my feet, knees, & back don't hurt. I wish they would make them a little more conservative in color so I wouldn't have to take a pair of casual shoes to change into when the wheels show up. These are truly the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn.
