For the price, I knew that they wouldn't last more than one season. But by the end of July, the insoles had separated from the soles to the point that I can't really use them anymore. The downfall seemed to be when I wore them in water: isn't that what river sandals are designed for? The leather insole didn't seem to be able to hold up to it. Other than that, they were comfortable and probably would do well if you don't step in the water with them.Bottom line: they're cheap, and you get what you pay for.

Overall, the sandals are pretty decent sandals. The front loop doesn't adjust, but the top loop and the one behind the heel adjust for a pretty good fit. They are comfortable enough, although they collect things (like sand) when I walk in them. I'm not sure other sandals wouldn't do the same thing, I usually go barefoot or wear walking shoes. The GOTCHA moment with these sandals was the first time I wore them in salt water and they turned the bottoms of my feet blue-green. I'm not sure how long it will take for them to stop bleeding blue dye. They turned my feet blue just yesterday on a kayaking trip. Considering they are called "River Shoes", I think this is a serious oversight on the part of the manufacturer. It is, however, somewhat harmless, if you don't mind having your feet stained blue.
I'm still wearing them. They were inexpensive, and so far, they are holding up alright. If they don't fall apart in the first year or two, I'll be happy. For now, I'm giving them a mid-level rating.
