The shoes are nice looking and lightweight. My daughter usually needs wide width in shoes so we ordered these in size 3 W. They fit her foot ok lengtht-wise and are comfortable, but they are very hard to put on and the velcro straps have to be fastened about half way across her foot. We have the same problem with most medium-width sneakers. If your child has wide feet, I'd try the XW width. We will be returning ours.

He loves New Balance, last time I bought him XW and they were really wide, too much for him, this time I picked the wide and he loves the shoes, he is 12 and I got 12.5 so they are a little big for him, but is not a problem.

Great comfortable sneakers. They run a bit roomy, so there's room to grow. Easy to get on and off with the velcro, and opens wide enough that my daughter can get her feet in comfortably by herself. And of course, they're pink :)

It's always a struggle to find XW shoes for my girls (yes, both are an XW). A lot of times the styles are REALLY limited and not very girly. My daughter oohed and aaahhhed when she saw this pink and purple pair. And the fact that they were on sale, that was icing on the cake! Thanks, Amazon, for supplying hard-to-find XW sneakers. Now if only they had XW dress shoes...

My daughter loves these shoes. She says they make her feel taller :)

The fit is as expected and they fit a little on the wider side so not the best if your child has narrow feet but otherwise they are great. Comfortable with good stability.
