Headline says it all! If you want a really grippy shoe with a little more sole than many kayak shoes, this is the one!Bought these in the Spring 2013 as my go-to whitewater kayaking shoes for warm weather so I wouldn't have to wear my neoprene boots and also because I had heard they will grip anything. Their grip on slippery rocks in and around the river is fantastic; no more bruises from falling down. They would make excellent shoes for stream and river fishing but I don't fish. They seem well made, fit true to size and are quite comfortable. However, and this is a BIG minus to me, they will not fit in my whitewater playboat/river runner and are uncomfortabley too tight in my river runner. They do fit well in my creekboat but it's so large I could probably get a pair of combat boots it. Since I use my playboat/river runner and river runner the most during warm weather the Brewers mostly sit on the shelf. My shoe size is only a 10 and my inseam only 29 inches so its not a problem of being crammed too tight into the boat. I now have a pair of Vivobarefoot shoes that work quite well. Giving them only two stars because they did not work for the boats I have. If I paddled a kayak in warmer weather that they fit in I would have given them four stars and perhaps five stars after more experience with their durability. Got them on Amazon for $40 compared to $100 for the Brewers. Astral Buoyancy Brewer Water Shoe Men's
