Good sturdy shoe. I know from past purchases of similar shoes this one will take a lot of abuse.

The only drawback is my feet get cold in these, something that I did not experience with the past three pairs of Columbia shoes.

I walk a great deal in cold wet weather. These shoes do keep your feet dry.

I have a hard time finding shoes. I need simple, thin full-length orthotics and a small lift under my right heel to help deal with chronic pain. These shoes are deep enough to accomodate the corrective measures (this is what makes shoe-finding hardest), stable when walking, light, durable, and offer good traction on road, gravel, packed snow, and grass, and they seem to be living up to water resistance. I feel relief when putting them on and have a much longer period of activity than with other shoes. I have had them for about four months and used them usually only for walking and traveling, and they are wearing well. Definitely recommend.

Opened the box and could tell right off these were not the shoes for me. They were nothing more than a sneaker with a hard sole. No support at all.
