After 4 knee surgeries and big toe joint surgery, finding walking shoes that don't make both simultaneously howl has been very challenging; however, I think I may have found the perfect shoe! The sole provides excellent shock absorption, too. My feet measure at about 9.5 and they're wide (probably a bit less than D width?) with very high arches. These shoes are super comfortable, and for the first time in I don't know how long, I'm actually able to wear a size 10 in a walking shoe. 11's are always too long, and 10.5's are nearly impossible to come by, and wides do not come in a big variety. I was baffled that these fit. FINALLY a shoe company that actually pays attention to measurements. What a FASCINATING concept... :o)

Yesterday I walked over 8 miles in these, and the previous few days I did 5.5 miles each day. No blisters, no discomfort, and my gimpy knee and foot were happy. Absolutely unheard of... (out of the 4 knee surgeries, two of them required an 8-inch incision... so the fact that I was able to walk that long with no knee pain is absolutely incredible).
