I had no idea that Affliction made shoes till I saw these on the Affliction website. Found them for the same price but without tax and free shipping from Amazon so thought I'd give them a try. I own lots of shoes from lots of different brands and sort of have a peeve about the soles not being thick enough (*cough* Guess *cough*), but I can say these are great. The soles are thick like I like. The tops are canvas and a bit thinner and more flexible than I'm used to (used to leather) but the fit very well. Feels like putting on a sock with a shoe sole. I think these will be perfect for the summer. The styling is neat like you'd expect from an Affliction product, with metal studs tastefully placed and a nice consistent black wear marks.

I usually try to avoid white soles on shoes as they discolor quickly, but these are stylishly pre-worn and will keep dirt from being so obvious. I ordered the "wax" model and am not really sure what the difference is between this and the non-wax model. I guess there are a few spots on the canvas that are a bit shinier (very subtle)?

Overall I would recommend these, especially if you already have Affliction shirts to wear with them.

My 20 yr old son likes shoes that he can just slip on and head out the door and yet he likes to look good too;]

He loved these shoes, but unfortunately they are not well made. They do look cool, but you should know going in that they are not for every day wear.
