I hike up Mt. Akakura in these boots the first time i wore them with my 5 month old son strapped to my back! I am very impressed with these boots! The day of the hike it was raining with a mild temperature, and the boots preformed great in mud, water, rocks, stones, the only thing I slipped on was the wooden planks, but I didn't fall just lose traction on the forward step. My feet stayed dry and comfortable on the four hours we hiked, no break in required. Will definitely buy again! Thanks Adidas!

Construction appears to be good; however the boot is too narrow. I was unable to walk comfortable in these boots despite the length being appropriate. I actually have a "B" width foot so these boots are REALLY narrow.

Alright, I'll be honest, the colorscheme I bought these shoes in is my only complaint. What I mean by that is that my shoes can't pull off anything more than a "casual" look, and I can't wear them everyday like I'd like to. Don't worry though, the colorscheme is no longer available and the new ones look much slicker.

With that aside, these shoes are amazing, super waterproof, and the comfiest shoes I've ever worn. They fit like a glove, especially with winter socks, and they've felt that way out of the box. After a year+, the only sign of wear is from one day I decided to play tennis in them and scuffed the toe. (It was like 35 degrees out, I had jeans and a trench coat on too). I did have to buy socks that go an inch or two above the ankle to prevent my hair from getting caught in the lining. These shoes are great for cold, snowy days as well as camping out. They also clean up really well, being water proof and all. I know my next pair of boots/shoes are going to be adidas hiking shoes, in whatever distant, distant future my currents ones wear out in.

I bought these shoes to go hiking in national parks during a cross-country road trip. They proved to be very comfortable when worn with the right socks. Part of the outer shell near the toes came unglued pretty rapidly, but it never became a problem and I'm sure that can be repaired very easily.
