For a while now I have been looking for a decent pair of shoes for parkour. I have been using my sneakers, but I wanted shoes that were made for the purpose. But when I got them and started using them, I was disappointed. The shoes themselves are comfortable and feel high quality. They are light, and great for running. But the grip is absolutely awful. It may be the fact that I just need to wear them in a bit, but it has been two weeks since I received them. My two year-old sneakers have much better grip. The shoe is advertised as an urban running/free running shoe. But is does not work well for that purpose. If you are looking for a decent shoe for parkour/free running, then you should look somewhere else.

UPDATE:

So it's been about two weeks since I wrote the review, and a few things have changed. The shoes grip a bit better. But I still can't do a two step wall up without them slipping. The grip is better, though.

I got exactly what I was expecting for $30.00 less than Zappos. Very comfortable and light weight. It's great to find size 14 shoes that work this well. I will be buying more Inov-8 shoes.

After doing CrossFit for a little over a year I realized I needed some dedicated "CrossFit shoes." After reading up on the Inov-8 brands and getting me a pair I knew I'd found that right pair. Only issue with them are lifting heavy weights and doing squats because they don't have the support that I'd like. For metcons with running, jump ropes, and non heavy WODs they work well for me.

This is my forth pair of INOV-8s and I will never buy another brand of shoes! I have been wearing INOV-8s for almost three years. I had the Flt-301s (the earlier version of this shoe) for two-years and used them for CrossFit, road races and a full marathon. They were the most comfortable shoes I had ever worn and the only shoes that do not give me a blister on my big toe. They are a lower profile than traditional running shoes, so they do take some getting used to, but well worth the time. I also own two pairs of INOV-8 trail running shoes. Like the Flt-301s and 311s they are light weight, flexible, super comfortable and no blisters! The material on the trail shoes have not held up as well as on the road shoes; however, I have also put them through a lot of rough terrain so it is kind of expected. Overall, the INOV-8 brand is great shoe low profile, lightweight and comfortable!

My son recently started free running. He wanted a light weight shoe with good grip. I ordered these for him as a surprise. When I told him I had ordered some shoes for him he was thrilled as these were the exact pair he had researched online and had decided he wanted. He is extremely pleased with the shoes and his skills are increasing daily with the lower weight, great grip and flexibility of the shoe.
