I was looking around for a cheaper tennis shoe that got good reviews but they didn't have my size so I decided to buy these shoes. I compared side by side to the Adidas Bercuda shoe which looks somewhat similar. As I looked closer, you could clearly see that the Barricade uses much more detail and much more higher quality material. For example, you could see double stitching and more mesh holes on the Barricade and not on the Bercuda. It is the little things like that which I was willing to pay more for. So glad that the other shoe didn't have my size in stock and I ended up with this sneaker over all the others.

1. Style? I love the style and the color combination. It looks like a high quality sneaker with plenty of detail and great material.

2. Fit and comfort? When I first put it on, I thought it felt narrow but once you start playing in them, they easily start to break in and fits perfectly. The comfort is very nice, the shoes feel very light and the shoes keep your feet cooler with all those ventilation holes.

3. Performance? I have worn many types of sneakers on the tennis court but this shoe is clearly the best. I am running faster from sideline to sideline as well as baseline to net. I can stop and start on a dime and not have to worry about twisted ankles. No shock from jumping as well with the cushioning.

I enjoy the both the stability and quick mobility of this shoe. When broken in, the sole achieves just the right amount of pliability for hard courts. After playing for one season, the tread on the inside front corners is completely worn down. The loss of tread doesn't seem to affect the playability of the shoe, but I sure miss the ear-candy court squeak!

The only complaint I have, and the only reason I give the shoes four stars instead of five, is that their sizing is small. I normally wear a 10 1/2 shoe, so I bought the Barricades in an 11 to avoid getting turf toe. It didn't help. So, for the upcoming season, I am going to get a pair of Barricades in an 11 1/2 -a full size larger -and I recommend that you do the same. You can always fill in the slack by wearing cushioned tennis socks.

UPDATE APRIL 2013: I bought a size 11 1/2 pair of Adidas Barricade 7.0's because I wanted to see what the more expensive Barricades were like. The 7.0's are excellent shoes, and the size works perfectly for my feet, but the shoes are significantly heavier than the Team 2's. I feel like I'm running around the court with hiking shoes on. Next season I am going back to the Team 2's.

I typically don't buy shoes online, but this time I decided to give it a try. The shoes are little tight for the size I generally wear on a running shoe. I figured it is meant to be like this and it will settle with regular wear and tear.

Its more than 3 months of regular usage probably 3 to 4 times a week for daily use walking and occasional play. The shoe has definitely loosed up compared to day zero, but still feels little uncomfortable. My advice to the next person would be buy 1/2 size bigger or better yet buy it in the store.
