I had a previous pair of Shimano cycling shoes that felt just too narrow in the toebox. This model is a little wider and much more comfortable. All reviews have pointed out to the stiffness of the sole and the way the upper really grips your foot for power transfer during all phases of the pedal stroke. And I concur. It's a great shoe. I feel very little loss of power during all types of riding.

And the weight even with Speedplay cleats is nice and light.

Aesthetically pleasing, well fitting, light weight shoes. First pair of shimano road shoes I've owned and find them well made and comfortable. Got these primarily for summer riding so yet to give them a lot of riding time but will update my review when I have.

Had a SE-R133L Shimano these new shoes (R170) are more comfortable and much lighter. 3 months of use

The sole (Carbon Fiber) is more resistant and more aerodynamic design.

my feet measure 24.5 cm long I bought the # 39 and they fit perfect.

This shoe is a little expensive, but worth every penny. I have about 2k miles in them so far and they hold up very well. I highly recommend these shoes
