They protect my feet. They are light weight and somewhat comfortable but not for a long period of time. I find wearing them for any length of time; I just want to remove them. They are find for short periods, but I would not be able to wear them all day, every day. But that is me.

I bought this shoes for my son. He needs multipurpose shoes for running, tennis and parkour free running stunts. He really liked these shoes, but unfortunately the shoe sole turned out to be rather slippery because the middle part of it is made of some kind of foam instead of the rubber. Overall a good shoe, but won't buy again.

These were bought for my husband. He says that they're okay, are flexible and light, but don't offer a lot of internal cushioning. The removable insert that's provided is pretty thin and provides little cushioning. He's going to buy some athletic inserts to correct this problem. We got them when they were listed at $28, so buying his own insert will be an acceptable trade-off. The mesh construction allows for a good amount of airflow. As with all Avia shoes, he has to order a size up because this brand of shoes seems to run short and slightly narrow. Avia doesn't seem to offer wide-width shoes in the styles that he really wants, or maybe we just haven't run across them. He normally wears a 12, but needs a 13 with Avia. He'll see how the shoe holds up overtime and provide an update.

I basically bought these for work because I'm on my feet all day. Super comfortable and light and considering the price I got the all black version for, it's a steal. I am considering a second pair.
