The shoe fit and finish is of high quality. It also fits well and is true to size. It feels like a stability shoe to me. I've had this shoe for over two months. The gore tex is not hot at all. I use this shoe for work, since it is a jeans/sneakers type of office setting. I believe I could stretch this shoe to wear with khakis. If I had one shoe, this would be it. It would be a perfect travel shoe. You can run with it, go to church with it, work out in the gym with it, hike with it(day and multi-day and trail run with it and can play golf with it due to the lugs on the bottom. The fact the it has gore tex,it will keep your feet dry in a rain or in crossing a shallow stream. All you would need is some flip/flops or sandals to pair this for your traveling shoe.

I love these shoes. No break in required, they fit snug but not too tight to cause discomfort. They are warm and breathe at the same time. They provide great support, I spent two days walking and tubeing around London with zero foot, knee or back pain. During that trip, I stepped in a deep puddle near Oxford Circus and my foot stayed completely dry. All in all great shoes, unlike other brands I've worn, they are worth the cost.

Shoe fit to correct size and seems well constructed. It has kept my feet nice and dry in the snow and rain so far this winter. It is bulkier than your standard running shoe and obviously more purposed for hiking.

My feet tend to get warm wearing this shoe indoors, so it is not something I would wear to the office on casual days. If you're looking for something to keep your feet dry during outdoor activities, this works perfectly.

I am currently on my second pair of these shoes and by the time we end our upcoming travels, will be purchasing a third pair, since I am wearing them all the time. Took me about two to three years of almost constant wear (under rough conditions) to wear them out, definitely got my money's worth out of them.

I have worn these shoes in a variety of travel situations and they have performed extremely well. This was my only pair of shoes on a backpacking trip through Europe. I wore them every day for a month in a variety of tough situations and they were excellent. I have worn these shoes while traveling to South America, Europe, Asia and Africa. They hold up well in day-after-day usage. I have also worn them as my only pair of shoes for weekend backpacking trips into the nearby mountains.

The soles of the shoes have a great tread, which works well in a variety of terrains (including bouldering, loose rock, mud, dirt, asphalt, you name it). They will tend to track mud, so if you are in mud, you will need to take some time to clean them properly that evening.

The Gore-Tex keeps the shoes dry in most (although not all) situations and is very breathable. If you step into a creek/river where the water flows over the top of the shoe (i.e. the instep area), it will leak inside. I've done that a couple of times and have had to dry them out overnight. So try to avoid going into water more than 3-4" deep to avoid getting the inside wet.

Probably the best endorsement I can give for these shoes is that I am willing to pay full price for them on my third go-around. I'm usually pretty price sensitive and look for shoes on sale, but this is the shoe for which I won't compromise.
