My previous shoe was the Brooks Ghost 5, which I loved. When I went in to have my foot analyzed again, they suggested I move up to the Gylcerin 11. I am a neutral runner, who runs primarily on the sidewalk/road and I run about 30 miles a week, so they said I could use the extra cushion. Initially, my feet felt heavier in these shoes and I worried that I had made a bad choice in switching. However, it is a couple weeks later, my feet have adjusted and I love them! And the pink shoe awesome! Love these shoes!

I previously ran in the Glycerin 10s, and found them to be a smooth ride if a little soft. I am a neutral runner and the 10s felt good, but they had a little too much cushion for my liking. I usually only wore them for recovery run/easy run days.
Not so with the 11. The 11s are lighter (they are lighter than the 10s, but not the lightest shoes I own) and more streamlined, but still have the needed support and cushion--and this time, not too much cushion. They are very comfortable and do not cause any flare-ups with my shin splints or my chronic Achilles issue. I brought these with me to Utah for a Ragnar Relay, only intending to wear them for my first run, but I ended up wearing them for all three of my runs, they were so comfortable. Overall I have put about 50 miles on these shoes, and they're still going strong. I wear them for longer tempo runs as well as for shorter, faster runs. I will definitely be buying another pair of these.

Okay. So In the past i have worn Nike. Ran about 2530 miles a week before my babies were born. Just went to get fitted for a running shoe to start off again. Because I have orthotics they put me in this neutral shoe. I left the store with them on. I LOVE them. Have had them for 3 weeks now. No pain anywhere. Love Amazon, but if you want to try them on, they are the same price at Fleet Feet where they will put you in the right shoe for your foot. And the best part is that the pink is super adorable. A neon pink that will look even cooler when they get dirty. I am gonna order the blues from Amazon due to the convenience. But if you know you like and need a neutral running shoe, this is the one. Also never thought about this but they put my orthotic under the shoe pad and now it doesn't slide and it is just as comfortable.
Honest reviews on Brooks Women's Glycerin 11 Running Shoes
Too much room in turned up toe. Usually wear 9 medium in Brooks and these are good fit everywhere except the toe too long. Do not like the high back, the other Brooks models dip down in the back so it does not rub the heel. Had to put orthodics in to raise my foot up.

For a shoe this substantial (and touted by every running magazine as super-luxurious!), I expected more cushioning. I also own the Asics Nimbus 15 and the Saucony Ride 6, which are about the same weight, but seem far more cushioned and "pillowy" than the Glycerin. I'm ok with a "weighty" shoe, but it better be worth the extra ounces, and the Glycerin just isn't worth the weight for me. I am a true neutral runner, but something about these shoes caused me to pronate and get sore knees after each run (perhaps it's the stiffness or lack of forefoot padding?) Overall, I'm having a hard time even categorizing these shoes, but I guess it doesn't matter, because in the end they were just average for me.
