I bought these shoes for my Tai Chi class, because no other shoes I own seemed to work right to complete the movements correctly and balance myself comfortably on the wood floor surface. The thin sole of these shoes lets me feel the floor effectively, while also providing sufficient cushioning so my feet don't ache. I wear a women's size 6 and the men's size 5 fits me just fine, with enough room to wear socks. I would recommend these shoes for anyone who's taking Tai Chi.

Right off the bat. These shoe's are as light as a feather and perfect for what I bought them for.. Parkour. Although they may have been made for 'Tia Chi', they make excellent shoes for Parkour and Free Running. They are light, grip really well, and have a thin sole that allows you to really 'feel the ground'..... However, if you plan on getting these shoes there's something you should know about the sizing. I was very confused and scared about ordering a size 11 when I range from 10.5-11.5..... I figured I'd be safe ordering in the middle, but I should've gone with 10.5. They still fit perfectly fine, but I have some toe room. Which I didn't really want. So I was extremely angry at shoe companies for being so inconsistent with sizing, 10.5 converse, 11 Vans, 11.5 in a lot of other shoes. These shoe sizes would most compare closest to Converse. So If you own a pair of chuck taylors, then use that shoe size as a guide. I wish more people on Amazon clarified the sizing. Either way, a little toe room or not, I'm still able to do what I want in these shoes and happily. You get a pair of these, you'll feel as agile as Uma Thurman in the Kill Bill trilogy.

Not only is this one of the best martial arts shoes available. But fits the definition of an everyday minimal shoe. The leather is soft and lasting and the sole has decent traction. Don't be put off by the thin rubber contact patch, its by design minimal. I have a wide foot and these fit fine.

They even work well as driving (manual transmission) shoes as its better to have a certain amount of feel through the pedals, and a thin shoe allows that.

I just received these shoes about 2 days ago and absolutely love them. Extremely comfortable fit overall. Due to the thin soles they are very flexible and lightweight, which is exactly what I was looking for. You will feel the bumps and rocks on the road, so if that isn't your thing look for a model with a thicker sole. But I can tell you guys, these feel great on your feet regardless.

As for sizing, I would personally recommend 1/2 a size smaller than your normal shoe size. A word of caution for those of you with wide feet.. the shoes are much wider towards the front, so you don't want the widest part of your foot seated too far back. I think if you get them too large, your feet will not fit the contours correctly and could potentially create some width issues. I have wide feet and 1/2 a size smaller seems to work just fine.

Awesome shoes, amazon is always great to work with. I will be getting more of these in the future.

This is a wonderful shoe for Tai Chi. I have narrow feet so it is hard to find shoes to fit. I was pleasantly surprised to find how this shoe hugs my feet. It is a must for anyone practicing Tai Chi. They are comfortable, light weight and help to feel the movements without being clumsy. Recommend them highly.
