This shoe is great for trail running, but work up to it if you're used to wearing a cushy shoe. You'll definitely feel the ground and have to pick your path a little more carefully but the shoe grips like nobody's business, wet or dry. This is my second pair, though, since the rubber wears down pretty quickly but that's the price you pay for sticky rubber. (Climbing shoes have the same issue.) I wasn't sure, initially, about the tread but the rounded format sheds stones and mud well. I wear thin socks with these shoes to keep my feet dry and comfy (except in muddy conditions...then they just get soaked like with any other shoe except a full-on gusseted-tongue hiking boot). Some folks said the shoes made their feet sweat but I haven't noticed any more sweat than with my old Nike clunkers. The toe box is really wide which is so much healthier for the feet. These are the first minimalist shoes I've had and I really didn't think Skechers would have anything decent in that department, but after trying these on the first time I was grudgingly hooked! Love these shoes!!!

This is the first shoe I have had that gave me balance and comfort on the trail as well as a solid foundation for activities like kickboxing in the gym. My feet are next to barefooted, but with a tread. I purchased my first pair at a store for outdoors/walking, and loved them so much I searched for them at Amazon and got another pair for the gym.

looks so boring here on the picture, in real life lovely lovely. and very lighht. great for workouts (not for running as it doesnt have so much support but its not even meant to be for running)
