I just got into road biking, but wanted a shoe to walk in. I'm a size 8 and the 40 fit perfect. I have a wider foot, and these have great room to wiggle the toes. No problems and I've already put a couple hundred miles on them. Love them.

These shoes are fantastic! I don't know why I waited so long to buy them. I use them for spin class and they make a huge difference. I shouldn't have waited, they are worth the investment. Now to invest in a real bike so I can use them outside!

Honest reviews on Shimano SH-WM62 Mountain Bike Shoes - Women's

Shimano shoes fit my foot the best anyway but the rachet top buckle makes it an even better fit. It's so comfortable and reasonably priced that I decided to buy another pair and go back to a mountain pedal on my second bike. The road bike version of this shoe without the rachet buckle is not as comfortable, plus I find the road pedal harder to clip in and release. I'm hoping the Shimano PD-M785 mountain pedal provides the additional contact stability it claims in the description. I would absolutely recommend this shoe. My only warning is that when choosing a size, do not pay attention to the American chart know your EU size. I usually wear a US 9 shoe, but in this shoe I buy a EU 40, which Shimano claims is a far smaller American size than a 9.

comfortable and supportive; flywires give the heels a more snug feel, but not in a bad way. this blue really pops, i love it.

These line of nike roshe flywire's run a little bigger than the regular and og roshes. To adjust simply get .5 size down. The biggest improvement on these is the nylon like material which you never thought nike could have improved on. I have been wearing these sockless since the material feels much more comfortable than your typical cotton socks. Highly recommended as a fashionable walking /occasional jogging shoe.

Great sneakers, exactly as described and very comfy!! They arrived on time and they are so adorable. These sneakers are great for people who have flat feet and virtually no arch because they dont give you that painful cramping feeling in your arch (well lack there of an arch) when you're running or working out!!

Nike "Free Runs"

If you like to run, Nike "Free Runs "are the shoes for you! These shoes are flexible, and well fitted. There are also a wide range of sizes, from children to adults. These shoes are also water proof, and they dry fast!

In my opinion, these shoes are very comfortable, and good to run in! I love how they support your feet. I love all the colors; mine are white, pink, and blue. The shoe cost is about $98.00.

I wore them on a rainy, steep, hike and my feet never slipped! I also wore them in a race, and my feet were comfortable the whole run! It almost felt like I wasn't wearing shoes!

These shoes are good for lots of activities, such as hiking, running, biking, etc.

The only complaint is that they get dirt in them very easily, and rocks in the bottom.

I'm an avid trail runner who runs trails weekly and has completed many trail events from 5K to 50 miles. For reference, I'm a light weight (5'8", 140 lbs) and biomechanically efficient (don't need a lot of structure/support features). I liked the TR3 version of this shoe, but of course the shoe companies can't leave a good shoe alone for more than a year. Initially I didn't like the looks of the tread on the TR5 as much as the TR3 (see my earlier review on those) because it's not quite as aggressive. It does have slightly less traction on damp/wet surfaces than the TR3, but overall it is still a good shoe for groomed trails. I run mostly single-track trails and I'm happy with this shoe unless its particularly slick, muddy or snowy. This shoe is not as good in those conditions as other more aggressively treaded trail shoes (like Adidas Kanadia). I recently ran 45 miles across the Grand Canyon and back and these shoes were an excellent choice as those are predominantly dry, well-used trails. I find if I wear too aggressively treaded trail shoes on smooth, well-used trails like the Grand Canyon's, I end up catching the aggressive lugs more and have a few more scrapes and stumbles, especially towards the end of a long day. I also like the roomy toe-box because I don't get banged up toes/toenails. I generally wear a size 9 street shoe, but have moved all the way up to 10.5 for these shoes to protect my toes a bit better. I have literally hundreds and hundreds of trail miles on these shoes and they have held up very well.

Bottom line: These are great shoes for relatively smooth trails or trail runs that have some road sections.

Anyone in the market for new running or walking shoes look not further than Saucony. If they made golf shoes I may switch from Ecco. I have a rather wide foot(no Sasquatch) but the Uniform brand shoes(you know, the name on college & Pro sports team)are ALL two narrow, unless I order or travel to a speciality running shoe shop and pay top dollar. Saucony, out of the box makes a wider than normal and 10 of 10 comfort shoe. The TR5 running shoe, has superb stablility, an agressive tread for hard trail, track and running the steps. When I'm finished running, my feet are tired, but no stress.

Saucony IS the rough diomand, over looked by slick marketing from Evil big shoe. I still have my other Saucony's and there still comfortable even though the tread had darn near been warn off.......

Try them, you won't be disappointed

These are my second pair of the same shoe. The hug my feet nicely. I don't like when my toes swim at the end of a shoe. The arch support is nice and the soles are comfortable. I used them as hanging out shoes shopping, walking downtown, light workouts, etc. These shoes run 1/2 size small. The colors are nice and neutral. So far the quality has been great.

I bought these to run Tough Mudder. I was looking for shoes with good protection and traction and these deliver on both counts. I spent 4 1/2 hrs. going up and down muddy slick rocky hills and never slipped. The tread pattern on these shoes gives you stunning grip and stability. They also have a protection plate under the forefoot to protect from punctures or rocks which is nice. The only down side I see is they are not the lightest or most flexible shoes, but I guess its a trade off for protection. If you run in rough terrain or wet muddy conditions you wont find a better shoe.

I've been a long time fan of Asic for road shoes. The Gel Attack is light with an aggressive tread, traits that I like in a trail shoe. However this latest model, the 7, seems narrower than usual up front compared to most Asics models. I usually get the standard medium width in Asics, but these I wish I had gone wider. I don't have too many miles on them yet, so I can't speak to the durability. I had issues with the Attack model 6's I had previously. I wore holes in both of them above both big toes, something that normally isn't an issue with me. Asics should beef up the fabric in that area.

I'm a big dude 6'4" and 3 bills, and these shoes are plenty supportive to my weathered feet and ankles. Three thumbs up.

Honest reviews on ASICS Men's GEL-Trail Attack 7 Trail Running Shoe

I', 6'2", 285 lbs...kinda wide feet too. Innovate Talons would barely go on my feet, let alone be comfortable to run in, but these Asics are perfect not a single issue. If you are a big guy and need extra room for your feet, then there are the shoes you want, esp for trail running.

Good shoes as per usual, last pair were attack5, 7's seem narrower in the upper and definitely less sole width, good for running, but maybe not as good as 5's for the bush bash...do AR/Rogaine

This one was specifically requested by my cousin in India. So I had to purchase and send it to him. Initially I wondered if the size would be fitting for him.. since I myself have few shoes with 11, 11.5 and 12 (varying brands, but all fitting perfectly). But once he tried it on, I got the update that the shoe was true to size and it fit him perfectly! He apparently loves the shoe and pretty wears it while on his sleep as well. At the rate he's wearing them, Im guessing he's gonna ask for another one in a few months :)

Ordered size 10.5 and they were too small. Surprised since I normally wear a 10 and ordered these half size larger and yet they still were too small. I returned to Amazon and reordered size 11 and just received...they seem to fit, but I'll need to wear for a couple weeks until final evaluation. Very easy to return to Amazon and I called vendor about sizing and they were helpful. Looks like a good shoe for hiking and plain old walking.

It's been a few weeks now and overall I am happy with these shoes....good solid shoes that so far have been excellent in keeping my feet dry. They are heavy duty shoes with lots of stability. The only issue I have so far is that the design includes a rough spot on the inside of the show that rubs my upper foot. I wear a heavy sox and have to be careful to position the tongue of the shoe just right so the rough spot doesn't rub my foot.

It's my first pair hiking shoe as I'm just getting into hiking/backpacking, so I don't have any previous experiences with this type of shoes. The built quality is great, very sturdy vibram outsole that won't slip or bend when stepped on rocks. Large toe box with plenty wiggle room for my toes. which is a plus. Since the shoe is waterproof, it feels a bit warm when hiking for a long period of time in the summer, the ventilation was not the greatest, and I have't encounter any wet situation so I can test out its waterproof ability. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this pair and looking forward to wear them to my Grand Canyon trip later this year.

Immediately I noticed the difference between this and my last pair of Progrid Guides... You get what you pay for, and these were cheaper. I am returning for the more expensive, but quality, shoe. (I could have gotten these at Marshall's as a walking shoe). Also, they seemed a little too fitted for me. Perhaps they would stretch out after some wear, but I'm not use to that for a running shoe (as they should feel awesome right out of the box).

These soles are amazing. It feels like they are almost sticky. I have only had them for 3 months, but they haven't worn much at all despite riding with them about 10 hours a week. The flap that covers the laces is great for keeping out mud.

The shoes are heavier than the shoes that I was using, but I think that the great soles more than make up for it. They take a while to dry, but I find that because of the flap, it is better to just wipe down the outside of the shoe rather than completely wash and dry it.

Overall, these shoes are highly recommended for mountain bikers!

I waited until I'd run about 150 miles in these before writing a review. Based on my previous experience with similar shoes, they're about halfway through their life.

But first, some background. I normally wear a size 7.5 or 8 4E in dress or casual shoes, but an 8.5 4E with Asics and New Balance running shoes. I run about 25 miles a week on either blacktop or a dirt field, typically 6-8 miles or more at a go. I am a supinator with a neutral gait and high arches. I suspect that I'm a fairly heavy-footed runner, with impact midfoot. I probably have the widest toe spread, for the length of my foot, of anyone you've ever seen outside of a duck pond. I track approximate mileage on my shoelaces, so I have a pretty good idea when things start to wear out before it happens, because if I don't I end up hurting my knees.

I have run in Asics Gel Cumulus and Nimbus of various iterations, and New Balance MR 882 and 883; in most cases going through several of each model before it became unavailable. With each of them, I've had to switch out the stock insole for a SofSole Athlete, usually within the first 60 miles of running.

On my foot, the 840 fits more like Asics. The 883 was always a bit too long, so it gave me that clown shoe feeling, slap slapping when I ran. The 883s weren't so long that I could downsize to a size 8, though, so I just put up with the feel. The 840s are trimmer, and feel better on my feet, more wrapped around.

That said, toe box volume in the 840 (remember? toe spread like waterfowl, only high as well?) is less than with the 882 or 883, or, for that matter, the Asics. To get some volume back, I changed the way I lace them to the lacing matrix I use on my hiking boots, and that has worked great. For what it's worth, I've tried the New Balance 1080, a PL-1 lasted shoe, and on that shoe there's just no way for me to add enough toe and midfoot volume through lacing tricks.

I think the soles on the 840 are softer than the 883 it feels plusher during my run, anyway. At the 150-plus-mile point, they still feel good. I already ordered another pair so I'm ready when these break down.

Remember, if you're looking for a stability shoe, this is the opposite of what you need. This is a cushioning shoe for neutral runners. But if that's what you're looking for, and you have feet like mine shaped like a fat wedge of gouda (and feet and cheese are just so appealing when combined in imagery) then these shoes might just work for you as well as they do for me.

UPDATE 8/12: I just started running my second pair of MR840s, and the toe box feels wider and higher, more like the SL-2 last I was used to. Compared to the MR883, I still think the midfoot may be slightly tighter and it doesn't have the 883's slightly over-long feel. So here I have two pairs of MR840s, one purchased several months after the other (and from two different sources), and I have to lace them differently. They're both great, but I prefer the feel of the second pair to the first. I'm looking to buy a third pair.

As a long time customer of New Balance, I always enjoyed the quality and consistency of their shoes. Apparently something big has changed at New Balance. The 840 is nothing like the 882, 883. Totally new redesign of the toe box makes it a poor fit for my wide foot. They are also incorporating new and cheaper materials. A super disappointment. I will now have to go searching for a replacement shoe from another manufacturer since all of the wide shoes now have this new, slimmed down look which makes New Balance no different than their competitors. What a shame. Definitely, a 1 star rating for a Big Step Backwards.

I had read a few other reviews about the problems some guys had with the bigger sizes of these NB shoes. I guess sometimes the shoes are narrower than advertised or at least narrower than the previous pair they had bought. Not these. Maybe NB is improving their quality control or maybe I just got lucky. They're light as air and give good support for my 6 foot 6 inch, 210 lb. frame.

Honest reviews on New Balance Men's MR840 Running Shoe

The New Balance MR840 is a great shoe, period. I've read all of the reviews about how this model is not as good as previous versions but for me, these shoes simply work. Are they the best looking shoes ever made? No. I'm not entering a fashion show when I run and I tend to look at where I'm running and not at my feet when I run so who cares. I'm 6'1" and 200 lbs so shoes that support me and keep me pain free are a must. I've stuggled with achillies and knee pain for years while running on Asics Gel Nimbus shoes. I reached out to New Balance for their recommendation and they advised me that I should look at the 840. The people at New Balance know their stuff and I would recommend that if you are looking for advise on what shoe to buy, write to them or call them directly. They don't care where you buy the shoes and will offer VERY GOOD ADVISE FOR FREE!

The most important features in a shoe for me are..

Comfort

Reliability

Support

The 840 provides all of this and more.

These shoes are VERY comfortable. I have a higher instep and wider feet and these fit like a glove. The cushioning is incredible and for someone who is 200 lbs., this is very important.

They are also very reliable. I've been running on mine for 2 months now and they are holding up well, inside and out.

As far as support goes, they are solid. I mentioned earlier that I have had both achillies and knee problems. The 840s have all but eliminated the pain I was experiencing. These shoes outperform all other motion control and cushioning shoes I have ever worn...period.

I'm sold on these shoes and I am VERY THANKFUL TO THE FOLKS AT NEW BALANCE who recommended these shoes. Give them a try and you won't be disappointed!

For a wide flat foot this is perfect. The sole is a little soft, almost spongy. This is great for impact resistance but not so sure it would be great for someone doing lateral movements. The shoe is light and airy. I got soaked in a rain storm, took the shoe off and it was completely dry in a few hours. Most shoes take days to dry out.
