I am very impressed with these shoes. I use them for my cross-training workouts which include lots of walking, jumping, etc, and they are fantastic. They are supportive throughout the entire foot as well as the ankle, which helps me to not over-pronate my feet. They are a great balance of cushion and support. These shoes would be great for someone who does lots of walking, jogging, workouts, or standing for long periods of time. For running, I think they would make a great training or long run shoe.

I use them for fitness training and they have good support and a good fit. It comes in a narrow width which is difficult to find. I recommend them.

I've had issues with plantar fasciitis on and off for years, a long day on my feet would cause a lot of heel pain. These shoes provide a lot of support and cushion and I'm not having any trouble with my heel. Even bought a second pair. They do run a little narrow, I usually don't need a wide shoe but did with these.

I purchased these for my daughter while training at a military base. The physical exercise and expectations are rigorous and cover several terrains. She says these shoes are wonderful! This is my third pair and I will be ordering. I've purchased Sole inserts directly from their website and from Amazon. Sole's customer service is awesome the fabric liner on my first pair bunched up, so it was annoying but not unwearable, I commented it on their standard product review request email and they promptly sent me a new pair at no cost. They are great if you want arch support.

The only clarification for potential buyer is that this "Casual" version is best suited for solid/cold weather casual shoes with removable inserts. They're too thick for loafers or lighter footwear. Also, the cushion is stiffer than the blue "sport" insoles. I'll buy the "thin" version next to try with dress shoes.

I'm a big fan of Sole brand foot beds for my workout shoes, so I thought I would give these a try for my more casual activities as well, and I wasn't disappointed, I slipped these into a pair of keds before a trip to Boston where I knew I would be walking a lot, and 4 days and 31 miles later I was happy I did. These shoes are certainly comfortable and come true to size. I bought them for hiking in the rain. So far they've been waterproof enough for me. The tongue doesn't connect to the shoe at its sides like some waterproof shoes & boots do, so this may be of interest to those wanting to walk in several inches of water with them. They do fine in tall, wet grass and in downpours though. My feet have stayed completely dry. Worth noting is that the body of the shoe is fairly stiff, so if you like wearing thin socks only, these may not be the shoes for you. They can rub some with thin socks, but don't seem to at all with medium weight socks. Also, this shoe is wedged at the back (sort of like the shoes that are supposed to give your legs a workout), so if you're used to shoes with running shoe-like stability, these may feel a bit odd at first.

I love this shoe. Great supportive arch not too high or low. Nice heel stability too.

They are not too cushy, firm but soft. I am in my late 50's and the right fit it critical.

I hiked for 5 hours in the rain on a trip to Italy and my feet stayed dry and happy. I ordered a new pair and may get another, just so I never have to live with out them!

These Teva's were a disappointment. One thing I love about Teva's is the wide toe box they usually have that allows for plenty of wiggle room. These shoes have a pointy toe box, like a running shoe, that squeezes my toes. Good arch support. The sole is really thick, almost two inches, which makes these look like those ridiculous sketchers toning shoes but is good for walking in shallow puddles. The waterproof factor is great for taking my dog to the park when the grass is wet or running errands in the rain but since they are low top if you step in a deep puddle water will come in from the top. A regular rain boot would be better.

If you work in a large successful florist during valentines day these are the shoes for you. Water buckets, thorns ,refrigerators...hiking and running between customers up and down stairs, my feet were warm and dry all day! They looked like new every test I put them through...loading customers cars out in the snow no problem. Love these Tevas!

My 6 yr old son is obsessed with the color orange, so these shoes were perfect for him! I ordered a little big, hoping that they would last the entire school year, but we'll see. The laces are also long enough for him to tie his own shoes (he's still learning) so I'm glad for that little bonus.

I own a pair of Skechers Go Run for myself, and I love how lightweight the shoes are. They fit like a glove right away, there is no "breaking in" time.

My son choose these and he loves them!!! He says he especially loves that they are so light. The four vs fives stars indicates that I am skeptical. I bought these shoes in white with the lime stripe. I already knew judging by the picture that this was one pretty shoe. And those thoughts just don't normally come to me when looking at a shoe. In person, they are just stunning (they also come in a neat bag resembling a miniature reusable grocery bag that will now serve as my lunch bag).

However, as nice as an athletic shoe can look, functionality is always more important. These don't disappoint. They have all the supports in the heel, toe and arch that I needed without sacrificing weight or comfort, and they encourage proper form. They have a small forward movement encouragement built in (that feeling when you walk in running shoes that it's trying to make you move forward) but it's not as much as other brands of running shoes so they stays just as comfortable to walk in as they are to run in. The toe runs a little wider than normal as well, so your feet don't feel cramped in, but that can also be uncomfortable for you at first as your muscles adjust--but when are breaking in new running shoes not a little uncomfortable? If you're a double knotter, good luck, they give you just enough lace to pull it off. I haven't had a problem yet with the laces becoming untied with a single knot, but then again, I tuck my laces in anyway.

I can't yet label them the best running shoes I've ever owned because I've had them for such a short time, but they're already one of the best!

I run with these on the beach boardwalk everyday and I usually catch a glimpse of my shoes in the reflections of the shop windows as I run by and they look even better in motion. You WILL get a flood of compliments for sure (immediately) and you'll be more encouraged to run more as you see better results as well. A great investment as far as I'm concerned!

The Pros:

Just. Gorgeous.

Noticeably very comfortable (stand, walk, run, jog, etc)

Arch support

Small, light heel

Tongue is stitched in place (some people don't like that, but I prefer it)

The Cons:

White fabric is easy to get dirty

Not going to work wonders for shin splints

Runs about 1/4-1/2 size larger than your normal shoe size (I normally wear a 9 but got these in a 8.5)

This is an awesome shoe. It keeps my tootsies dry when I'm running and they're awesome walking around shoes. I'm flatfooted and usually can only stand for short periods of time, but with these, I can stand all day. Love em!!!

My son wears this Puma for his workouts. He is not a runner though, but he works out about two hours a day. He has this shoe in about five colors and keeps two of them for casual wear because he loves them so much. The grey is very nice looking, he has some of the other colors that we have purchased other places. They are very true to size--he wears a 9.5 D.

It is important to let your workout shoes (actually any shoe) dry out completely for 48 hours. They've actually done studies showing this DOUBLES the life of the shoe.

Everything I was told about this shoe is true. It's great on the joints. The best I've had. I could feel a significant difference whithin a week. They are very light. You get the cushioned feel without feeling like your loosing momentum. On the outside, the sole looks extra thick but it's not. Your foot settles in and is cradled. My primary reasons for buying were to prevent blisters on longer runs and to get better life. Blisters are gone. It's too early to tell about the full life. I was getting 3-6 months from other brands. I'm nearly 3 months in and I expect that they will last as billed 2 to 3 times the life of others.

I did also buy SuperFeet inserts which added to the price. While these are more expensive than many other running shoes, they seem to be more than worth it.

Buy New Balance Men's MR768 Running Shoe

I'm finally retiring my 992s due to high miles. Previously had 991s, but now I want a bit lighter shoe, specifically offering stability and cushioning and was cooler on hot day runs.. The MR768 was a new model from New Balance but offered all of these as a Stability Trainer. I tried all major brands to see if I was missing something new out there, and as I tried on models from each brand, I immediately rejected them. The NB has the best fit, feel and overall quality construction; they also run true to size. The new heel and midsole molding on the 768 felt perfect with the right amount of support. Update: after a few runs in to break them in, (where I average at least 10k) I have to say excellent choice. Stability dead on, heel firm but cushoned and the mesh breathed much better than 990 series. Love the Lace lock too!

First off I want to say that this is a minimus style shoe. Very light weight with a .04mm heel to toe drop. This is also meant to be a trail shoe. It has a tougher then normal sole. This is not a heel strike shoe. It is not recommend that you run on your heels with this shoe. I don't believe all the negative comments take these factors into consideration.

I bought these for crossfit workouts. As I did not want to pay $100+ for the Reebok Nano. These basically do everything the nano does for less. These are a great shoe for lifting weights and running. They run about a 1/2 size small compared to my ASICS.

Pick these up while you can! This model was discontinued because New Balance can sell their new minimus shoe for twice the price. Why make a half price minimus?

They run a little small in the shoe size, you may need to get one size larger than normal. I do like the shoes, they are the lightest pair of running shoes I have, and I have a bunch. Very comfortable.

Great minimal training shoe. Only issue I've had is the tongue slipping. It fits a little small, but for me that's fine. Overall a great bargain, especially with all the overpriced minimal shoes out there. I still don't get why I have to pay so much for a shoe made with less material.
