Our son has spina bifida, and recently started using a wheeled stander. He needed new AFO's (ankle-foot-orthodics) for stability with standing, and a shoe to fit over that was wide enough. After purchasing shoes from a local store, then returning them because they were not wide enough, we decided to take a chance on these. I am so glad we did! The width is perfect for fitting over the AFO's, and the price is much better than the specialty shoes made specifically for them. Thank you Saucony, for making XW shoes in little sizes, and thank you Amazon for carrying them!Perfect size. The only drawback is that the cords are very long. On the picture it looks like you don't need to tie them.

ADIDAS ADIZERO RUSH MGH Style# G47896 Review
I wear Adidas so I knew to order about a size larger than I wear in other running shoes. They have good arch support, which might be uncomfortable for people with flat feet. They are very light and provide good heel support. No complaints. Great shoe!
ASICS Men's GEL-Kahana 6 Trail Running Shoe Review
I am a beginning runner who has some issues w/ over pronation of one foot due to leg length discrepancy. So far, I am feeling more stability in these shoes than in my previous shoes, and they seem more durable than others I have purchased. I do wear a lift in my left shoe, and there was enough room in these shoes to accommodate the orthotic w/out issues.
These shoes DO run small and narrow, so take that into account when you order. I took a full size larger in these shoes than in some others. I also have narrow feet, and think someone with average or wide feet would need a wider version of this shoe.
If you use these on the road at higher mileage, you might want to add a thin gel insole to add a bit more cushion, but otherwise, I honestly think that they are just as suitable for the road as for the trails. I especially like their traction on wet pavement. They also have a good bit of flexibility in the sole, which is a problem w/ some trail shoes, but not with these. In fact, I didn't even realize that they were trail shoes when I bought them! I am very happy with these shoes so far, and plan to purchase more when I wear these out.

Very comfortable. I would not use on road surfaces, but the support on trails is what it should be. I ran ten miles with them right out of the box on a very rocky, sometimes steep trail. I had no blisters. My ankles did not buckle on me. There was adequate protection from rocks. And I felt I had a lot of agility; not heavy-feeling and easy on the knees. These shoes are little smaller than envisioned. I had a a pair of Kahana 2 shoes and liked them. The Kahana 2 shoes were 10.5, ordered the Kahana 6 in 10.5 but I had to exchange the Kahana 6 shoes for size 11. Very comfortable shoes and I really like them once I got the right size. Very comfortable shoes BUT beware if you are on WET smooth surfaces where wearing these shoes is more like walking on ice. I thought trail shoes would provide extra grip. No so if on wet tile, roots, smooth rocks, etc. Beware. Otherwise I'd rate them much higher for comfort.

We purchased these shoes for a 2 1/2 year old with some wide feet (his mom's side, I swear). They go on super easy and I think that they are comfortable for him. Now he can put his own shoes on as long as he guesses the correct foot. We have had them for several months and have worn them extensively. They have held up wonderfully. In fact, he is starting to outgrow them. The biggest con I have with them is that they sometimes come off when running around, but usually it is because the straps weren't applied tight enough in the first place. We have had many "races" in them where they didn't come off if that is a worry. They look great, and we have gotten compliments on their style (we have the red/white/blue). These are great sneakers. Super comfortable and lightweight for my 2 1/2 yr old daughter. She wears them almost daily and has worn them on tons of hikes and other than being dirty, they are still in perfect condition. And I guess I'm in the minority but I love the velcro on the tongue. It means that the tongue doesn't slip off to the side or slide down into the shoe while she is wearing them, so these sneakers are super comfortable. I bought these for my son because I loved the look of them. They are very cute and stylish for little boys. I have always thought New Balance makes great products and especially appreciated that their shoes come in different widths. My son has wide feet. Unfortunately, like others have said, the velcro on the tongue makes it difficult to secure the straps. I'm not sure why they designed it this way, but they must not have tried to put the shoes on a wiggly kids feet before deciding on this feature. We still use them and deal with the annoyance but I hope they will redesign this in the future. Great buy on inexpensive sneakers. They look good, fit well, and are flexible and supple enough for our boy to run as fast as his little legs can take him! Hes had them soaked from playing with the hose quite a few times, but they have showed no signs of deterioration orwear for that matter after several months of hard use. Highly recommended.

I have had Planter Faciitis and Mortons Neuroma for 2 years. I have tried everything. Cortisone shots, Acupuncture, Acupressure, night splints, boot cast and about 15 different inserts including custom made.
I've been to 2 different doctors and physical therapy. I have been told to learn how to live with the pain or have surgery. Then I found these inserts. For me these have been the cure. I have been wearing them for 2 weeks straight. All day and all night except when I sleep,in athletic shoes that do not have a raise in the heel. My feet feel wonderful. I am probably 70% better at this point and I'm feeling better everyday. I just ordered my second pair and will probably order more as I buy more shoes. I love these inserts and for me they have finally made me feel better..

These are a great replacement insole for sports and walking shoes. They're not too thick so they don't feel awkward. I used to come away limping after too much basketball, but not when I use these. I have bought many orthotics over the years and this is by far the very best in comfort for sore aching feet. It fits perfectly in my boots, oxfords and sneakers equally well cushioning my walk. These are wonderful for tennis shoes as well as cowboy boots. I make sure I bring them along to try on when buying sneakers and boots. Hint: I put velcro on the bottom of these and then the softer part onto the bottom of the shoe. Let the glue set overnight. They dont budge when walking. I have two pair of this type and several of the terry cloth insoles, and also the 3/4 ones for heels. I dont go without this brand. I have had regular orthotics from a podiatrist. I"m a runner with metatarsal pain and some arch problems (maybe I need to give up running?!). Anyway, this is my second pair and they have been great. Try them, for $20 bucks, you won't be sorry. Also, if you are a 1/2 size (for example, my running shoes are 7.5), then just order the next full size. You could trim them but I didn't have to.

I bought this shoe while I was waiting for a salesperson to assisst me at a store. So I saved $10.00 plus sales tax. (my state collects enough income tax). Under Armour size runs about half size bigger compared to other brands. (9.5 instead of 9). Shoe is great so far. Great arch support. My feet doesn't go numb when Iam using the elliptocycle. This shoe is a solid performer. It is sturdy and gives good support for such a light weight shoe. It does run about a half size smaller than anticipated but is pretty close to true sizing.
Cheap Mizuno Men's Wave Nirvana 7 Running Shoe
First off, I am overweight at 220 lbs, low arch, and over pronator. I started with a couch to 5k program about 6 months ago and am now jogging 20+ miles a week training for my first half marathon. When I started the C25K Program I was wearing the Brooks Beast. While I liked this shoe as it prevented shin splint problems I had been plagued with in the past, it still seemed heavy and too stiff. I just switched to the Mizuno Wave Nirvana 7 and can say it is a huge improvement over the Brooks Beast. This shoe feels light yet still has plenty of stability. Highly recommended!
My last set of shoes were Brooks Beasts and they were decent... but wore down more quickly than the Mizunos, even with the Powersteps inserted. Eventually my feet started to become numb during a run, and my ankles would ache and hurt in the morning. I decided it was time to switch back to the Mizunos.
I ran once in these and they feel great. My old set of Nirvana 4s were heavier and softer, so this is an exciting new shoe that's lighter (even with a Powerstep Pinnacle MAxx inserted) and seem to support me a lot better.
If you're an overpronator, these are awesome. I would have ranked it 5 stars if I wouldn't need the Powerstep Pinnacle Maxx inserts... but my feet are almost defective, so I need them.

Being very flat-footed, I find it hard to locate a good pair of shoes that offer enough arch support and are able to last a while. This shoe felt great for about the first 20 or so runs (2-4 mile each)then I noticed that the support began breaking down. Since then I have added another 10 -15 runs and it is still holding up, but just not as comfortable. I am 6'8" and my weight fluctuates between 205 215 lbs, so I wouldn't consider myself too be heavy. I was looking for a shoe to wear to the gym, & to get back into trail running. So far so good, I've worn these about 10 times on elliptical trainer, etc., & walk 2 miles every morning for the past month. These kicks are springy! I like the little nodules on the bottom, the first week it felt like they were actually propelling me a little bit. The tongue is also nice & snug (not loose, has elastic attachments). These also fit very true to size for me. I've started grabbing them to run to the store or to shop in bc of the comfort. Haven't tried trail running yet bc of an injury, but I have a feeling they're going to work out. Review of AVIA Men's Avi-Phase Cross-Training Shoe
This is the second pair of these shoes that have split between the sole and the upper along the joint line. Both pair have very little wear on them. The first pair was returned to place of purchase for a replacement, but the second pair had the same problem. The store in the meantime stopped carrying the brand. Would NOT recommend them.

Within a few weeks of wear, both sides of both insoles of both shoes came apart. When alerted about this problem, their customer service was very poor and ultimately unresponsive. Buy Saucony Men's ProGrid Peregrine Trail Shoe
Very good trail shoe. Very light, great spiky like tread on the bottom, and a lot of motion control. Pretty good cushion at least enough for me. The one thing I do love about this shoe is that it sits low to the ground allowing you to really plow through trails without worrying about turning your ankle. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because this shoe comes a 1/2 size to big which was a small disappointment but other than that so far so good. I will write another review if I discover anything else about the shoe (good or bad).
If you plan to do most of your running on pavement, opt for the Saucony ProGrid Kinvara Running Shoe instead.

So I use the Kinvara's for road races and training, and recently ran a pretty rough xc trail race and found I was in much need of a trail running shoe. I absolutely LOVE the feel of the Kinvara, the low profile drop from heel to forefoot and ultra-lightweight have made it one of my favorite running shoes I have ever worn, but as it was made for the road it lacks in traction. In comes the Peregrine, I actually went to one of my local shoe stores and tried them on to see how the sizing compared to different reviews and I will say that I usually wear a 12 in just about everything and had to go up to a size 12.5 in these. The feel of these shoes is fantastic, they have the same low drop as the Kinvara's and are really lightweight too! The sole is awesome, very grippy and plus the shoe just looks sweet to boot. I have been doing a lot more trail running now that I have these bad boys in my arsenal, and have recommended them to all my friends and fellow trail runners. I ordered this shoe after a lot af research, and arrived after 4 days (To Norway). They fit perfectly and is true to it's size. But over to the important part. On the track they do not dissapoint. They got a great grip on almost all surfaces, and I've never felt so safe on wet and muddy surfaces. The shoes are not waterproof in any way, but they dry really fast, as long as you got the right socks. They also protect your feet, and roots and sharp rocks don't hurt. I bought these as a lightweight trail shoe to complement my Kinvara 2s. They are pretty similar except the fit is more narrow and they are stiff. I ran a hard 20 mile mountain run in them right out of the box. I have a pair of Hokas that I use for racing, but as a generic mountain trainer they are better than my LaSportiva Crosslites which have too much traction for the gravel / fire-road sections of trail that I encounter on daily use.
