Our son has spina bifida, and recently started using a wheeled stander. He needed new AFO's (ankle-foot-orthodics) for stability with standing, and a shoe to fit over that was wide enough. After purchasing shoes from a local store, then returning them because they were not wide enough, we decided to take a chance on these. I am so glad we did! The width is perfect for fitting over the AFO's, and the price is much better than the specialty shoes made specifically for them. Thank you Saucony, for making XW shoes in little sizes, and thank you Amazon for carrying them!

Perfect size. The only drawback is that the cords are very long. On the picture it looks like you don't need to tie them.
