I have used the previuos models GT-2700 and GT-2000, but the GT-3000 is superior. The only problem was that they came form UK and it was very expensive with the shipping, but the shoes are just great.

I have run in the asics 3030 for many years and found it to be a superb shoe. I was very concerned when the model shifted to the gt 3000. I actually decided to go back to the new gel Kayano 19 as they had finally done away with the ridiculous asymetric lacing system. Big mistake. I am a late overpronator and the Kayano 19 was just terrible. Too soft and the spine in the sole support system could be felt rubbing into the bottom of my foot. I brought them back to Road Runner (great exchange policy!) and got the gt 3000. Much to my suprise, I love the shoe. It has nearly the same feel and superb efficiancy of the 3030 series. I am quite happy and will stay with this model.

I have been using the Asics 3030 for a long time and was so happy with it.

My shin splits has disappeared and everything for my type of feet is perfect. ( Normal arch but over pronating)

Tried the new version ( GT 3000 ) and was not happy at all.

I wish they bought the 3030 back.
