I've had these shoes for two years, they are very resilient and the only reason I stopped wearing them was because they got too small. Indeed, the gel based heel provides much comfort and support. The shoes are stiff at first but are great after about a week's use. They are extremely comfortable, going as far as suppressing pain when my feet are tired for sore. These would suit for any kind of sports, such as basketball or running. I have no idea what the other reviewers are complaining about.

Although designed for running, these Asics are better used for casual use, as they are not particularly light or flexible. The foot hold is great, and although they look very hot, you can use them in summer as well.

these shoes mold to the soles of my feet. I have high arches and had to wear inserts to reduce pain... not with these shoes
