1. She needs to be able to put the shoe on and take it off by herself.
2. Can be worn with or without socks and still be comfortable.
3. Can be worn with a nice church outfit or for a day running and playing at the park.
4. Wide enough for her feet (she has wide toddler feet)
I purchased both the blue and the pink pairs. They met all of my criteria. I was a bit skeptical when I first received them because they look average to slightly narrow in width, but as soon as my little one put them on her feet, that was no longer a concern. Although they are considered medium in width, the shoes fit her feet just fine. She has no problem putting them on and taking them off by herself, which is extremely important for a little one who needs to do everything all by herself. They look adorable with a nice little church outfit (not any fancy frilly dresses, but a nice summer dress with leggings) and they are perfect for those days at the park climbing and playing with her friends. She has worn them with and without socks without any complaint that they rub or hurt her feet and she is a VERY active little girl. My daughter is in between a 9 and 10 in size, so I ordered her a 10 and they seemed to fit fine. She does have a little room to grow, but that is just an added bonus so we can extend them into the Fall season, too.
We have owned several pairs of See Kai Runs and Kai for big kids and these shoes did not disappoint. I did read a few reviews before I purchased these shoes that stated their shoes were falling apart and did not last, but that has not been the case for the shoes we received.

Not very durable; after only 2 months, the elastic on the inside has broken off. And, it's difficult to put on both for my 3 year old and me!
