They are even better than expected. My son loves his new shoes. He always takes his shoes off immediately when we walk in the door, but since the first day he got these, he doesn't mind wearing them all day long. What I love about these shoes:

1. extremely lightweight

2. amazingly flexible

3. very stylish

4. wider soles-not as narrow as expected given the mako style, with an arch-but not too high an arch

(this is typically difficult for us to find a combination of both. my son is NOT flat-footed, but steps flat-flooted)

5. excellent product quality

6. tongue of shoe stays in place

7. rubber soles have great traction

8. conforms to foot nicely

I bought this sneaker for my 8 year old son. Until now we always bought him the other style for smaller

kids, but they don't make that kind in his (bigger) size. We were a bit worried that he would not like this new

style because he is extremely picky about the way shoes fit and feel. But the second he put these on he was thrilled

and there have been no problems at all. They are comfortable, flexible, light, and are pretty simple.

(personally I don't like shoes with a lot of "bells and whistles" or that have too much "advertising", so these are great in

that way too). My only hope is that these shoes are not made in a factory that is exploiting their workers. I will actually look

into that before I buy another pair because I am very concerned about all the exploited workers around the world who are suffering

at the hands of greedy companies.

I have purchased six pairs of Tsukihoshi sneakers over the years and have loved them. Unfortunately, my last purchase 10 Mako sneaker is terrible. My son complains about how much these shoes hurt his feet. I don't know what is different about these shoes and the past five pairs.

These shoe are expensive over $60 and after one month we can't wear them.

I want a refund, but I missed the 30 day window and the shoes have been worn.

Amazon or Zappos, I hope you read this review and consider a refund!
