Review of ECCO Men's Torre GTX Hiking Shoe

This is my 3rd pair of ECCO shoes. I've trusted ECCO for the past 3 years and i've never come across an issue like this. For some reason my big toes has become numb after trying to break them in 2 days in a row. The first day I wore them I figured it's because they are new my feet would hurt a little. I figured I'd try again and wore them to work. On day 2 is when I noticed the pins and needle pain in the front of the shoes. I actually was sitting at my desk with the shoes off. I figured again, I just have to break them in and it'll be fine.

By the time I got home and removed them, that is when I noticed my big toes was numb. I had to use a foot massager off and on for hours and I did not get the feeling back for a day. As of now I went back to my old ECCO shoes and my toes are just soar. Friends told me I may need to stretch them out but i'm actually afraid of putting them back on. So I spent $200 on shoes that look really nice but hurt my feet.

Taking a bit longer to break in. Fully expect they will attain that glove like fit of all the many ECCO hikers I have owned. Let's hope the tread doesn't wear out as fast as my last several pair. The fit has always helped with my foot issues but I wish they would last longer considering the price.

I'm on my feet a lot as part of my job; I never skimp on shoes. These are excellent, very comfortable right out of the box, good fit, good look. Can use for casual occasions and even for work if your environment is suitably laid back. You get what you pay for in this shoe.

Love these shoes, very comfortable. The sizing is a touch on the large side. I wear a 9.5US and the 9-9.5US size for this shoe is just a touch large, but I'm also wearing summer weight wool socks still.

I was a little skeptical because of the price, but my previous eccos have been great.These are the most comfortable shoes I have. They look great with jeans. They are waterproof. Very pleased!
