I would not recommend these shoes. My pre-K child started wearing these August 8 and as of today, they are already coming apart. I had to super-glue the top of the shoe to the upper so he could wear them today, until I can take him out over the weekend to shop for more shoes. For $ 50, I expect shoes that last more than three weeks.

I am surprised to see all the negative reviews, perhaps there was a bad batch? I have been buying Tsukihoshi Speed sneakers for 4 years for my 5th grader and 2 years for my Kindergartener. Each pair of sneakers lasted exactly a year of every day wearing to school. they went through the wash machine almost monthly, especially during winter/raining season, and came out as new. Obviously, by the end of the school year they looked pretty ratty, but by then kids outgrew them anyway. Kids consistently chose Speeds when comparing them to other Tsukihoshi shoes and other brands. They like that the shoes feel bouncy and cushy. One thing to keep in mind, that these sneakers do run at least half size big.

This is our second pair of these shoes in the next size up. The M width in this style works well for my son's wide width foot. Light weight and easy to clean.

We're very loyal tsukihoshi customers (for 5 years!) but this model is absolutely not what we had expected! Our daughter got them 3 weeks ago and they stink like crazy. We've washed them, sprayed them and aired them out (believe me, we can't have them in the house) but these shoes just don't breathe. I would NOT recommend these at all buy the arisa model instead!

They are very narrow. I ordered a size larger and they are still too small. Also, they don't have much support in my opinion.
