In the history of the development of running shoes, there have been several developments that have been game-changers. Most have come from developments in new materials. Recently several companies have focused on developing biomechanical improvements that result in improved running efficiency and decreased stress on the joints and muscles. With the E:Motion line, Pearl Izumi has developed something very special. These shoes offer a surprisingly smooth ride by providing a rockered forefoot and a flat sole. This allows the natural running gait to be relatively seamless. The upper is special too. The most remarkable facet of the N2 upper is that it is seamless and one piece of breathable dual density mesh. It is smooth enough to run sockless, if you are into that sort of running.

so let me begin by saying these are the most quiet shoes ive ran in ive put 20 miles in them so far they are a lil tight but the first 12-14 miles i tried numerous ways with lacing for better fitment attempts with no luck i went on a 4 mile run and my feet hurt bad so i took the factory insoles out and ran 3 miles with shoes feeling great...for me running without the insolesmade these shoes worth it for 65$smooth quiet cushioned properly my suggestion if you have wide feet remove stock insoles run without them and really feel the shoe itself so far i would recommend this product for neutral runners

I've been running since middle school. I have tried plenty of running shoe companies including some of the big names like Nike, Adidas, Reebok, and underarmour. I personally like Brooks or Asics running shoes the best in terms of longevity and craftsmanship. I went to a place a few weeks ago and they suggested these shoes for me having just overcome a stress fracture a few months back and done a tough-mudder. These Pearl Izumi's are so comfortable and light. They are the weight of Nike frees and the comfort and stability of the Asics cumulus all in one. I also run in intervals. That being said, I jog, run, and sprint a lot in my training and this shoe is solid for changing speeds. In addition, I like to run on the road and hit some trails and these are perfect. I get tons of compliments on the color too. I own the lime green and grey ones and I absolutely love the colors. I highly recommend these shoes for any neutral runner. Awesome shoe and cool colors.

My second pair of PIs. Great support, Comfy. Order a half size bigger if you wear thicker sox. Love the colors.

So for I have ran five miles on treadmill and five miles on road with them without any complaints. Maybe to soon for a review.
