Shoes are so individual. Objectively, this is a good shoe. For me, it works. If you have a wide foot at the metacarpals, this will probably work. It's a neutral shoe, so it works with orthotics. Try them on. It's the only way to know.Best Deals on Brooks Women's Ghost 5 Running Shoes
I am new to running. I run for routine exercise. I noticed that my soles hurt terribly when I ran, which was the major reason I would take a break. I was recommended this shoe based on my gait and my arch at bryn mawr running company. The moment I stepped into them I knew that they feel right. After my morning run, my soles don't hurt. they are amazing. Also, they are super cute.Honest reviews on Brooks Women's Ghost 5 Running Shoes
I had been running in Asics for years and never thought I'd give them up.Then I tried Brooks Ghost.
I've been in love for four months.
As a neutral runner, I appreciate the roomy toebox. I also love the lack of excessive cushioning; there's just enough to protect my feet/gait when running on paved surfaces.
What I don't love is the arch, which rides too far up on my foot. I've remedied this by removing and replacing the inserts. Still, Brooks needs to take into consideration that not all runners will fit the pre-determined mold of their insoled arch.
That said, the Brooks Ghost is a great shoe for long distance running and marathon training. I put 14 miles on mine the first day.
