I bought these shoes in early April, and everything in my review is still true, but after walking an average of half a mile per day in them for around 3 months, the buckle on one of them broke and the insides of the shoes started wearing down at the heel to the point where they did not balance properly. For the price, and since this is a "walking shoe" and not a random pair of flats I got at payless, I expect a shoe to last longer than 3 months, which is the shelf life of a pair of $25-$40 pair of shoes. Will not recommend or purchase again.

I buy one pair of flat black shoes at a time for everyday walking and work. All the little old ladies I know who have back problems and stuff kept telling me that Toning shoes are the most comfortable shoes they've ever worn for walking on hard cement floors... That their feet and back no longer ached after long shifts.

So I got them for my retail job, hoping to cut down on sore feet. They help you keep good posture and my feet feel great, but...

These shoes actually do work to some extent. I can feel that my calves are sore by a long day of walking in them. I don't know if it's helping with my other leg muscles, but it's like the soreness from my feet goes to my calves. Unfortunately, I can't use them for walking outdoors, my main method of transportation, because they work a little TOO well at making it seem like you're walking on uneven ground. Anytime you're walking up a gentle incline or on a sidewalk where one side is uneven is hell on earth. If I walk about a half a mile on a road with one hill, I start getting serious muscle pain. If I walk up 2-3 hills or for more than 30 minutes at a time, I've found that I pinch a nerve or something and one of my feet starts going into pins and needles mode and then falling asleep.

I wouldn't recommend these to someone who gets any exercise at all that takes them outdoors, but if you're on your feet indoors at work or in a gym or something, they'll probably be your new best friend.

I purchased these shoes, because I can no longer wear regular ones. I find them to be very comfortable and I can wear them with business attire. They are a great deal for the money. I have had mine for 7 months now and have had no problems at all. They still look new and feel good wearing them.
