Great shoes for a great price. I have a difficult time find shoes that are light weight, sufficient cushion for neuromas, and enough arch for my flat left foot. These worked great. They will make my next half marathon a breeze.Best Deals on K-Swiss Women's Ultra Tubes 100 Running Shoe
Awesome shoe. Lightweight but supportive; I have large, wide, flat feet and after taking a year off of running and cross training to recovery from knee surgery this shoe supports my knee without the weight and allows for low impact on my knee.My only con is the size. I ordered my actual shoe size and it fits with very little room. I would order a half size larger next time.
Honest reviews on K-Swiss Women's Ultra Tubes 100 Running Shoe
I received a pair of these shoes as a gift (blk/yellow color) and really like them, but they would not be for every women looking for a running shoe.Fit:
My feet are medium width and in most running shoes I wear a size 10. I had tried this style on at a local store to compare sizes 9.5 (my casual shoe size) to the size 10's, and found that my true 9.5 was a better fit in K-Swiss, so that's what went on my wishlist and is what I received.
The toe box on the shoe narrows, and would not be ideal for even slightly wide width feet. Even with my foot fitting in the shoe, after a few miles (3) I noted the toe box seemed cramped as my feet began to swell. I prefer some Saucony shoes like the Saucony Women's ProGrid Guide 3 Running Shoe and the Brooks Women's Trance 10 Running Shoe for the width at that part of the shoe.
Comfort:
In the gym cross training between the weight room and cardio on machines, these shoes worked well. Nice flexibility and cushion under the balls of my feet. Not the lightest weight shoe I've ever worn, but not particularly heavy either.
These shoes do come up high on my ankle and at first I was distracted by it, but forgot about it as the padding was enough not to produce painful spots.
Look:
The shoes are not particularly bulky, and the tubes are fairly small so unless the shoe you choose has a significant color contrast, you won't really see them. There is a noticable 'v' on the top of the shoe at the toe (not really visible in the photos), and on the black shoe the K-Swiss emblem is black too, so not really visible. I kind of wish it was yellow and black, but that's a personal preference. Overall, it's not an eye-catching shoe, but not bad looking either.
Quality:
K-Swiss makes excellent shoes and this shoe is no exception. It's well made and looks as though it should be durable for general use.
Most women should find this shoe a comfortable choice for walking, low mileage runs and running around town. There's lots of cushion to them, but still stable support. On sale, this shoe would be a good choice for most people who are not hardcore runners or gym rats.
