For starters, these are made in the USA.. and you can see it in the quality. These are an incredible buy even if you pay New Balance list price.

The 10.5 4E are just that, no complaints in that department. I was concerned about ordering these but I figured that with free returns I'd give it a shot, and I'm glad I did... so order the true size that you normally wear.

I beat these things up on some rough trails every afternoon, and on weekends if its nice and dry I take them trekking or trailblazing. They are VERY comfortable for running or walking, and breath very well causing minimal sweating. They weren't kidding when they said "delivers traction".. these suckers keep me on my feet on everything from slimy mossy rocks to wet mud covered wooden steps. The weight is also impressive. I took off my 1008 New Balance and threw these on for the first time and it was like they weren't even there. So far they still have the soft walking on air feel and I Have almost 100 miles on them.. we will see if how long they hold up.

Something to note: If you have bad knees or constant pain in the knees on long hikes or trail runs, get these. The pain I was getting in my right knee was gone almost instantly after switching to these shoes. Get a pair!

This shoe seems decent, but one big area of disappointment is the width. I ordered a 15 4E and it is no wider than the D width shoes I have. I layered the insoles of these over some D widths insoles, and some of the D widths were actually wider. Just to be sure, I also stacked some shoes sole to sole against these, and you wouldn't be able to tell the difference in width between either of them. One of the shoes I compared them against was a fellow New Balance shoe. I double checked the tag inside the shoe and confirmed it was a 4E. How disappointing.

I should have listened to the customers who complained that the sneaker was cut too small. I ordered a 4E and it wasn't even close to being wide. I ordered this item with a walking shoe that fits fine. In the future I will pay more attention to the customer feedback.

Honest reviews on New Balance Men's MT810 Trail Running Shoe

I have been buying the all-terrain 800 series from New Balance from the 804s through the 813s and really liked all of them. This year when I went to buy the 814s though I noticed they had fairly bad reviews and sizing issues so I looked around for another all-terrain NB shoe and found this 810 (which is the same number but different than the 810s I had several years back...I guess they reuse numbers).

The shoes fit perfect and after 6 months they still look and feel great after daily use and frequent walks in them. They are holding up very well and the only thing happening to them from wear is that there are four 1/4" stitched areas on the back of the shoes that I believe have no purpose other than decoration which are starting to unravel some. This is a minor issue that in no way takes away from a great pair of shoes.

With my pair I did notice from the start however that the insoles seemed to be cut just a little short so they don't quite go all the way to the front tip of the shoe and therefore they can slide just a little bit after use. You can of course easily pull them back into place or add in your favorite insoles. This is another minor issue that I only notice when I take the shoes off or go to put them on but never affects their use.

I definitely recommend these shoes for anyone looking for a great all-terrain shoe.

I purchased these shoes sight unseen a few months ago as everyday shoes (i.e. NOT trail running shoes). I had previously worn, and worn out, New Balance's 806 shoes, so I was familiar with the style, wear, etc. The 810's are much heavier about 12.6oz than the 806's, that only weighed in around 9. While this may be a key benefit for trail runners, I find that my feet are more tired at the end of the day. The tread is holding up well enough, but I've already noticed some wear on the uppers, and I don't think that I wear the shoes particularly hard. As a couple of other nits, the tongue/ lace hole doesn't seem well aligned on either pair and the laces are substantially shorter than they could/ should be.

Overall, not a bad pair of shoes, but if these were my first pair from New Balance I wouldn't hurry back to them
