I ordered these online. Although I normally wear 8.5 I ordered a 44. It is a little loose but 43 was tight. So I went for a 44 and I wear them with thick socks. Unfortunately shimano doesn't have half sizes. My previous shimano shoes were 44 too. Shimano's sizing has always been a little awkward. So before ordering it better go to a bike store and try them on. See what size your feet are in Shimano's scale :). The shoes are quite rigid. I really like it. Wraps the foot nice and tight. I leave the bottom velcro a little loose. The middle one tight. And the top one real snug. It has a reflective stripe on the heel cup. I take a star because of the sizing. Other than that the shoes are great.

I just took these shoes out for my first ride and I am impressed. I went from very worn out $30 MTB shoes to these, so it was a significant jump. I wear a size 10.5 and the size 44 fits my foot nice and snug. The shoe feels very nice and rigid and the power transfer feels extremely direct. The straps and ratcheting mechanism allow you to really fasten down the shoe nice and snug, which is what I prefer. I am very excited about this product and can't wait to hit the trails with them again.

Thes shoes run a hair smaller that advertised. I've always been a 45 in shimano shoes. I wear a 10.5 to 11 in most shoes and these felt tight, maybe a little narrow. I usually wear a 45-45.5 in SIDI. I ordered them in a pinch while on business for extended period.
