Because insoles are often purchased to relieve a certain issue, I will begin by describing my injury. Without previous injury or warning signs, my plantar fascia ripped down the middle and 1/2 detached from the bone. I should have a custom-made orthotic device to hold up my arch, but the doctor said to purchase them at a store so I could spend less and get extras for various shoes.

These are nice insoles, but there are considerations to be made. Compared to other insoles, these take up the most room in my shoe and I can only wear them in my tennis shoes (after removing the manufacturer's insole). They won't fit in my boots at all. They will go into my bike shoes (Pearl Izumi), but are too high.

In the close-up photo, notice the orange/tan dots under the large toe and metatarsal area. This is a gel-like material. Yes, I can feel every dot with my finger, but I don't notice with socks. If you don't plan to wear socks, or wear super thin socks, this may be irritating.

Price. . . speaks for itself.

In comparison with my other insoles, these are probably my favorite. They are better on the arches than the others for extended wear. I also wear SuperFeet green (a lot cheaper, but almost as good and slightly easier to fit in shoes), Dr. Scholl's PRO for arch (they are not great, but fit in most shoes) and Dr. Scholl's heel cup (not great, but the gel is nice to add to the SuperFeet insoles later in the day).

I stumbled upon Footdisc at a department store in Taiwan (I went to college there) around two years ago. I play serious badminton 2-3 times a week, but at the time I was really struggling due to signs of plantar fasciitis. It hurt to even walk, and I was desperate for a solution. Only after I tried Footdisc insoles did I realize that the stock insoles that come with shoes (regardless of brand) are shoddily made and provide no added protection. After seeing a remarkable improvement (today I have no pain), I have since exclusively used their insoles for all of my shoes. The price is a tad steep but they are certainly worth it! I have had great experiences with Footdisc support so I'm sure they will leave you a satisfied customer!

I have tried many insoles with many different shoes and the RunPro are among the best I have tried with each pair of shoes (Nike, Mitzumo, Brooks, etc.) For the price I will certainly buy again.

for $50 I expected a bit more. I'm no doctor nor am I a psyiologist, but these are arch supports and though there is some, there's not enough for me. maybe there should be one step further in the line offering high HIGH arch support.
