I have run in the original Gel Blur 33 for two years and LOVED them (I bought the special American Flag version). I then bought the newer version of the Gel Blur 33 and it was much different. After a visit to a local running store they advised me that the GT-1000 was much closer (lower profile, more Gel) so I ordered these to support my mother and mother-in-law's fight! They are just as comfortable as the original Blur 33 and I used them this weekend for the first time and was totally comfortable with them. The big plus was supporting the cause too!
