I bought these shoes for my son with the idea that a high top shoe would be good for keeping his ankles straight when he starts walking. When my daughter was learning, we bought her high top shoes for this reason, and getting them on her little toe curling feet was a nightmare! So...when I saw these I was excited and bought them for my son. To my dismay, the shoe fits perfect and slide off like we have smeared his foot in a vat of frying oil. There is NO way to get the Velcro tight enough around the ankle to keep it on. So as one of the reviews I read here that gave this shoe a 5 star thinking they fell off because they are too big for her child, and not because of the Velcro, they are WRONG!!! The idea of the shoe is there, it just needs some work. I even tried putting actual shoe laces through the top holes of the shoe and tying it so it would be tight around his ankle area. This helped, but made the shoe uncomfortable for him,and made getting them on extremely difficult, slightly defeating the purpose of the ease of the Velcro. So, I just stopped putting them on him altogether, and have considered the money spent on them a lesson learned!

My nephew absolutely loves these. He is five and right now these are the only shoes he will wear lol. They are very good material and easy for him to put on!

These are not for all-day-at-school or for P.E. or running since they have no arch support and not great to wear on cold days (no lining!) BUT they are the FASTEST solution to get out the door to tae-kwon-do after rushing through homework. These quick change shoes get them from house to car to do-jhang, and back to car and house for quick supper before more homework and bedtime routine. Lacing shoes takes too long! They wear these without slipping (happened with their croc style shoes). These come off and on quickly but stay put when you need them to! And can just be kicked off easily when in a hurry but not needed for such a long time. The elastic laces are pure genius! They get a 5 just for that!

This sneaker is very very cute, our 3 YO loves them. He can put them on and take them off himself and they have the great look of the Converse hi top without all the laces to deal with. They don't stay on as well as other shoes with more secure velcro he has come out of them a couple times. But mostly we love them. They do run a little large as everyone points out. He is an 8.5 and the 8 fits well.

Chucks are like my new fav. I have a custom pair i had made for me and then i just have differant ones from Amazon and other sites. So now my son want's to where them. I bought these for my son because they don't have traditional laces in them. Im always reminding him to tie his shoes or he'll just hurry up and tuck them in so he dosn't have to. These kids Converse have elastic laces and the back upper colored part velcros down so you just stick your foot in. I got them in black/charcoal,ie... so the whole charcoal part flips down....can you say happy child. I had standard shipping on these shoes which is like anywhere from 3 to 10 days. I got them in two. Which is great. Another thing sometimes you find the exact same shoe from an external website on Amazon's site cheaper or maybe even free shipping or both. These shoes where like $40 or $50 bucks on another site. I got them here for $35 and free shipping. This seller got me my shoes in a timely fashion and a few bucks cheaper,less shipping. He wears them alll thee time. I can't complain.
